Skiers and snowboarders have it good because the well-prepared slopes in the Almenwelt [“Alpine World”] in Lofer are a paradise for them. And freeriders who would like to try their turns off-piste on powder fields will discover a feeling of absolute freedom here.

The ski resort in Lofer, where snow is guaranteed, is also ideally suited for families. Two ski schools in the district (located right beside the mountain railway) will initiate your children into the joys of skiing in a playful manner. Where renting ski equipment is concerned, our family-friendly ski resort is very impressive: 3 professional ski rental outlets will fit you out with ski equipment optimally suited to your needs.

Spend a fun time in our native ski lodges – you will be spoiled with traditional dishes there! 

There is a lot to experience, not just on-piste, but Lofer provides variety, relaxation and fun off-piste too. For example, how would like a fun toboggan ride? The Maria Kirchental toboggan ride is highly recommended – it is illuminated on Tuesdays and Thursdays and you can fortify yourself in the Kirchental inn before setting off.

Our Saalach Valley can be explored in an especially romantic way during a horse-drawn sleigh ride. It involves dressing up warm and enjoying yourself!
